Ashabari, located in the outskirts of the South 24 parganas district of West Bengal, is a home for the homeless street destitute. Everyday, we bring in the sick and dying people from the streets who are abandoned by the rest of the world and provide them with a loving home, medicine and rehabilitation till they recover and are able to live and earn independently. Whenever possible, we re-unite them with their family, else, they remain a part of our Ashabari family along with many others. Today, Ashabari is a home to around 200 inmates, men and women together.
Ashabari also runs a free outdoor clinic every week for the rural, economically backward communities nearby, from which about 800 to 1000 people are benefitted every month.
Ashabari is run by kind and generous people who have been supporting us through donations and other necessities, and have joined hands with us to create a better world.
